Cylindrical Roller Bearings
Cylindrical Roller Bearings are used to support radial loads. They consist of an inner ring, an outer ring, a series of cylindrical rollers and a cage that holds the rollers in position. The cylindrical rollers of a cylindrical roller bearing run parallel to the axis of the bearing, providing a larger contact area with the raceways of the inner and outer rings. This elongated shape allows them to effectively transmit and distribute loads, resulting in a high load carrying capacity and rigidity of the bearing.
Due to their outstanding properties, cylindrical roller bearings are found in a wide range of applications where high radial loads occur, e.g. in engines, gearboxes, rolling mills, pumps and in heavy industry. In such applications, cylindrical roller bearings enable reliable and efficient transmission of forces, which contributes to the stability and performance of machinery.
Cylindrical roller bearings are also characterized by their robustness and resistance. They are designed to withstand high loads and offer excellent wear resistance, which increases their service life and reliability. In addition, they can be used in demanding environments associated with vibration, shock loads, dirt or high temperatures.
