Our premium partnership
The Schaeffler Group is a giant of German industry. The globally active automotive and industrial supplier is a leader in many areas and industries. The company was founded in 1946 by the Schaeffler brothers. Dr. Georg Schaeffler counts as the inventor of the needle cage and brought it into mass production as the cage-guided needle bearing from INA.
The next great invention in 1965 - a diaphragm spring clutch under the brand LuK Lamellen und Kupplungsbau GmbH - brought the company to the technological top on the market.
In addition to INA and LuK, FAG is a Schaeffler Group brand with the longest history. The founder Friedrich Fischer had designed a ball grinding machine in 1883, with which it was possible for the first time to produce steel balls in large numbers. The demand for rolling bearings increased. This was followed by a bicycle boom, development of the automotive industry and shortly afterwards the equipment period. Today, no car in Germany rolls off the assembly line without having INA or FAG bearings installed in it. Schaeffler is a global leader in the manufacture of industrial machinery with its brands.
LAEPPCHÉ has been an official sales partner of the Schaeffler Group since the 70s. Initially, the focus was on INA, but now we have expanded the partnership to include the premium brand FAG.
