The Rolling Elements of rolling bearings include steel balls, cylindrical rollers and needle rollers. In most cases, balls are offered as steel variants in different sizes. They are mainly made of chrome steel, ground and polished. But there are also balls made of stainless steel and ceramic. Cylindrical rollers are made of roller bearing steel and are manufactured in different dimensions. These rollers are used where very high radial loads are being transmitted. The rolling elements are characterized by their low friction and are also used at high speeds. Needle rollers are made of low-corrosion steel. High loads can also be transferred here. In addition, these roller bearing bodies are profiled and fall off logarithmically towards the ends. A stress at the edge of the roller bearing is therefore lower than in the middle.
