Thin Section Bearings are highly precise and low noisy with high load capacity. There are various designs such as deep groove ball bearings, four point contact bearings and angular ball bearings. These bearings are characterized by their extremely small, usually square, cross-section.

The cross-section of thin section bearings within a series remains unchanged even with larger diameters of the shaft and housing bore. As a result, thin section bearings allow extremely lightweight and space-saving designs.

For each of the mentioned designs, there are different series corresponding to the different cross-section sizes. The balls in the thin section bearings are specially aligned to the respective series.

Deep Groove Ball Bearings can support radial loads as well as axial loads on both sides.

Four Point Contact Bearings also provide a combination of radial and axial loads on both sides, resembling double row angular ball bearings.

Angular Ball Bearings with more balls can support higher radial loads than deep groove or four point bearings and can also support axial loads on one side.

Thin section bearings are used for precision bearing and high load carrying capacity, including machine building, automotive, mining and heavy industry.
