Axial Cylindrical Roller Bearings can handle high axial loads due to their design and special features. The rollers carry the loads along the axis and provide increased load carrying capacity due to a larger contact area. By minimizing friction between the cylindrical rollers and the cage, bearing life is extended.

Because of their ability to withstand high impact loads and speeds, these special bearings find applications for e.g., in heavy-duty machinery, gearboxes, presses, rolling mills and rail vehicles.

Single row axial cylindrical roller bearings consist of an inner ring, an outer ring and a cage that holds the cylindrical rollers in an axial alignment. This construction enables high rigidity and the support of high axial loads.

Double row axial cylindrical roller bearings feature twice as many cylindrical rollers as single row bearings, allowing them to support even higher axial loads. These bearings generally have a symmetrical design and can support forces from both directions.
