Housing Units are robust, ready-to-install bearing elements. They mainly consist of a housing together with an insert ball bearing. Different variants are available. These include, for example, plummer block units, flanged bearings, tension frame bearings and many more. In addition to the classic cast housings, plastic housing bearings are now also available. Existing bores and bearing outer rings are arranged spherically. As a result, the bearing ring in the housing adjusts to shaft balancing inaccuracies. The housing units are mounted on the shaft with the aid of eccentrics or grub screws.
