Seegerrings (DIN471, 472, BR, WR, WRE) are used to axially fix bolts in bores. However, they are also used to fasten roller bearings to a shaft or axle. These retaining rings - also known as grooved rings - are installed on a shaft with the ends pointing outwards during assembly. WR shaft rings and BR bore rings are made of hardened spring steel. These rings are ground either straight or beveled at the ends. They are suitable for securing bearings and bearing rings with a small radial overall height. The shaft rings WRE have the same width as the shaft rings WR. However, they have a greater overall height. In addition, these rings have straight ends and mounting holes.
