Fasteners and Retainers

Fasteners and retainers play an important role in ensuring the correct mounting and securing of rolling bearings. These elements help to hold the bearing in the desired position, reduce vibrations and minimize the risk of loosening or damage.

Adapting sleeves are used to secure bearings with a tapered bore on cylindrical shafts. The bearing is pressed onto the adapter sleeve to achieve the desired reduction in radial internal clearance. Additional securing on the shaft is not required. Adapter sleeves allow flexible positioning of the bearings at any point on a shaft with a constant diameter.

Withdrawal sleeves are also suitable for mounting bearings with a tapered bore on cylindrical shafts. The tapered sleeve is pressed into the bearing bore to reduce the radial internal clearance. The bearing must be axially supported, for example by a shaft shoulder. Withdrawal sleeves make it easier to dismount the bearing, as the interference fit can be released by loosening a locknut on the withdrawal sleeve.

Locknut are used to fix bearings on shafts or adapter sleeves. They enable the mounting of bearings with a tapered shaft seat and facilitate the mounting and dismounting of bearings on withdrawal sleeves.

Shaft Nuts provide precise and secure axial fixing of bearings on cylindrical and tapered shafts or adapter sleeves.

Tab Washers are simple and reliable elements for securing smaller locknuts. They have one inner and several outer tabs that are evenly distributed around the circumference. The inner tab engages in the groove of the adapter sleeve or shaft, while one of the outer tabs is bent into a groove in the nut to secure it.

Retaining Brackets with Screw are used to secure locknuts. The brackets are attached to the locknut with a hexagon head bolt and engage in a groove in both the nut and the adapter sleeve or shaft. The fastening screws are secured with a locking element to prevent unintentional loosening.
